THE HAUNTED Frontman Checks In From METAL FOR THE MASSES Tour
March 28, 2007Swedish titans THE HAUNTED made their much-anticipated return to the U.S. last week on the inaugural Metal For The Masses tour co-headlining with labelmates DARK TRANQUILLITY, with INTO ETERNITY and SCAR SYMMETRY in the support slots. This tour marks the group's first headlining U.S. run since the return of original vocalist Peter Dolving, so fans should not miss out on this special event. The group also recently completed a new video for the track "The Drowning", which focuses on the band’s raw live intensity. Click here to check it out.
Dolving checks in with the following report: "It's great being back in the U.S. with 24-hour diners and everything else your dark little soul might ever yearn for. The shows so far are going really well. Tuesday night in St. Petersburg was kinda so-so, but the kids who came out to the show were great and we had a good time. The Palladium in Worcester was sweet: 600 metalheads showed up and we were expecting 50, so you get the picture. Philly? Packed! New York, Springfield too. This is incredible — straight-up metalheads. All horns are high in the air, and people are getting into all four bands. INTO ETERNITY are impressing the hell out of me — skilled and devoted; man I respect that! This is a truly amazing package, and I really hope to see you all soon."
THE HAUNTED's dynamic new offering, "The Dead Eye", sees the band effectively combine elements of their previous efforts while exploring new ideas to continuously challenge themselves. The effort was recorded in Denmark at Antfarm Studios with renowned producer Tue Madsen (HIMSA, SICK OF IT ALL) and is being hailed as the band's most accomplished work yet.
